“Matt has carried out several jobs for me over the last couple of years including a curved outdoor deck which overhangs our pond - I still don’t know how he managed to bend the wood but it looks amazing. He also built a 1.2 meter square work station for my art studio, it’s a heavy duty construction built exactly as requested and, on Matt’s suggestion, designed to be taken apart should we ever wish to move it. I’m about to request a desk area to go with it. He has also built a cupboard and desk area under our stairs and some outdoor planters as well as laying several internal floors.

As part of a raised terrace renovation project back in 2023, Matthew Bizley installed a substantial hardwood oak pergola with modernist edging for us. The outcome was a striking design which maximised functionality of the space. “Since 2023, Matt has worked on our project, converting the former primary school in Welney to our home and a Christian retreat centre. Using his carpentry skills he has laid large areas of timber flooring , hung over 30 internal and external doors, including 7 fire doors with internal closures. He has also used his ever-expanding skill set to completely construct the pitched roof of our new garden room. This included tiling, flashing and installing a large roof lantern. Along with a colleague, he also made, installed and glazed a bespoke hardwood window in the gable end of the garden room. Matt is polite, patient, considerate and respectful, easy to have around and has a great work ethic. His work is of a high standard and we would thoroughly recommend him.”
